INSPIRATIONS  from Lynda Cole
You are the Infinite Expressing Itself

Have you ever noticed, as I have, how "trying" can be an unconscious preoccupation of the mind ... trying to be a good person, trying to keep things in order, trying to please or accommodate others' needs, trying to exercise the body, trying to eat healthy, trying to be spiritual. How does "trying" take over for you? This "trying" can be trying!

"Trying" is an attempt for the mind to control life and we may think that if only we try a little harder, our identity will improve sometime in the future. "If I do this, I'll get that." "Trying" only serves to reinforce a sense of separation from true nature, from the Oneness of all things. When "trying" takes a back seat, natural self is given space to be ... and Truth expresses itself through us.

"Trying" takes me away from the beauty of "what is in each unique moment." "Trying" is looking for something that is there all the while. You are the infinite expressing itself. It cannot be stopped. "Trying" is futile. Grace is continuously available to us. We know in our hearts how simple it is to live for now.

The awareness of "trying" is all that's needed to take you out of the active identification with it and bring you to the present moment. No more movement towards "trying" needs to take place. Don't just believe what is written here. Experience it for yourself.......find your truth.

Innocence

Many people have spoken of the contribution that Eckhart Tolle's message has had on their lives. Many have realized a transformation, while simply being in his presence. The quality that best describes Eckhart, for me, is 'innocence.' Actually, it isn't found in Eckhart the person, but in the absence of the person. This innocence comes through him and it is experienced in the spaciousness that is the void without personage. Having human form, Eckhart is also the childlike nature that is consistent with most awakened teachers. Whether being with him in person or on video/audio, this innocence comes through as he laughs, delights in and mimics our humanness. Outside of group presentations, this stillness continues. Usually few words come from Eckhart and yet when there are words, they reflect original awareness, sounds that slip belongingly into space and are absorbed knowingly by the listener. It is truly awesome.

As we watch young children, their innocence opens our hearts. We receive the gift of loving that innocence brings, returning that love in our gaze. As adults, we too have this innocence when we see life as if for the first time, from the eyes of a child...when we laugh, move, sing with abandon...when we flow with life, without expectation, as it unfolds before us...when life is an adventure to be experienced...just as it is.
